Aina Terra Permascapes LLC is a family-owned local business born from our passion for gardening, permaculture and transforming the spaces we live in. What started as an idea quickly grew into a mission—to create beautiful, sustainable landscapes that respect both people and the land.
Frustrated by the widespread use of toxic herbicides on local farms, we felt compelled to make a change. Combining our studies in sustainability, landscape design, permaculture, and sustainable agriculture, we built a business rooted in eco-conscious practices and a deep love for the ‘Āina.

About Joey: Master of Luxury Landscape Design and Sustainable Creations
Joey is a visionary designer with a passion for crafting outdoor spaces that balance luxury, functionality, and sustainability. With a strong foundation in deck building, roof reconstruction, and innovative water systems, Joey brings both technical expertise and artistic flair to every project. With a degree in Permaculture & Sustainable agriculture, from Evergreen State College, Joey joined his early passion for gardening with practical knowledge in sustainability and harmony with the land.
Driven by a love for permaculture and sustainable practices, he creates harmonious environments that blend seamlessly with nature. From elegant water features and efficient irrigation systems to thriving orchards, Joey’s designs are a testament to his commitment to ecological balance and creativity.

Her expertise spans a wide range of designs, from intricate pathways that invite exploration to edible landscapes that harmonize beauty and sustainability. Jouliana also specializes in unique expressions such as medicine wheel gardens, zen gardens, labyrinths, and other sacred, intentional spaces that reflect balance and harmony. Jouliana also loves working with yoga retreat spaces, orchard building , fruit tree care and bringing new life and growth to each tree she works with.
